Albert Einstein said, “I never teach my pupils, I only attempt to provide the conditions in which they learn.” I totally relate to that. It’s important to create safe spaces in which to learn. I’ve experienced a wide array of learning environments during my time earning my BFA in Painting, BA in English, and my MA and MFA in Writing, and I’ve dedicated myself to providing the kind of learning space I would want for myself.
In this thirty minute interview, Chanelle Aryasingha and I discuss how my Tarot expertise informs my Relationship Coaching, and how sacred storytelling, whether in writing, art, or theater, assists my clients in reframing and rewriting the stories of their lives, so they can attract relationships that nourish and support them.
I’m so grateful that Chanelle took the time to interview me about my work as a Relationship Coach and as a Master Tarot Reader and Teacher. It was a great conversation and I look forward to having more of these talks in the future.
Feel free to leave any gems or questions for me in the comments.
Hello, Dear Reader!
For the last twelve years I have studied and mentored people in the areas of relationships, crisis management, and mental wellness. I have worked with thousands of individuals and couples to reframe and rewrite the stories of their lives, resulting in happier, more fulfilled experiences.
Just recently, I have decided to take all of my knowledge, expertise, and experience and focus it towards helping successful entrepreneurs open themselves to the possibilities of love.
I’m REALLY passionate about helping single entrepreneurs find love on their own terms, moving from a place of loneliness to a place of courage and trust. Having struggled with heartache myself, I’ve been paralyzed by negative beliefs and judgmental attitudes, feeling unworthy and incapable of finding love. Now I am dedicated to helping others release outmoded patterns of behavior so they can attract the same amount of success in their love relationships as they have in their careers.
Years ago, I was asked by a young man if he could take my picture. I was on the corner of Divisadero and Page in San Francisco, dressed in my steam punk best (complete with top hat and eye makeup), and on my way to provide Heroic Tarot readings for an event. I was rather focused on getting downtown to the corporate party, but the sparkle in the man’s eyes convinced me to pause for a moment and let him take the picture. Little did I know that I was taking part in something that would become a movement. Starting out as a form of photographic storytelling, then evolving into a community, Dijon Bowden’s Souls of San Francisco project now has a documentary chronicling its rise and effect. Film Hero describes it best:
The world is full of magazines chock-full of articles that will tell you what to wear, eat, and think, all in the mindset of convincing you to conform to a set of established conventions. Where’s the fun in that? I’m happy to have discovered a publication that not only doesn’t mind a bit of imperfection, it celebrates it!
Heroic Tarot just received a brand new 5 Star Review! Here’s what the client had to say:
This was my first Tarot card reading and I am so very grateful that I chose Storm to do it. He is a lovely soul who gave me an enormous amount of insight on who I am and where I am going. His reading was so spot on I was really astonished. He gave me some real clarity on what my path is and he is giving me some writing exercises to help with that. I will be making regular visits to this wonderful man from now on. What an incredible gift he is; absolutely love him!
I’m so grateful to to have received this accolade! Are you seeking guidance? Interested in what energies are coalescing around you this year? Schedule your appointment with me today!
While my focus was on the ayahuasca healing retreat for which I signed up, my adventures in Peru also included glimpsing dolphins in the Amazon River, hugging monkeys and sloths in an animal rehabilitation center (and getting bit and scratched by a toucan!), and witnessing the beauty of the rainforest in a national park. I have so many pictures to share and I’ll be uploading them on my Instagram (@heroictarot) starting this week!

Today I begin my diet to prepare my body for my trip to Peru to engage in ayahuasca ceremony in the Shipibo peoples tradition. I will be undergoing six ceremonies in ten days. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this particular plant medicine, retreat center Caya Shobo provides this explanation:
