Be Mine, Heroic Valentine!
This month in Wolverine and the X-Men #24, Storm and Wolverine celebrated their close friendship with a kiss (the cover above was drawn by Ramon Perez and colored by Laura Martin)! What this will lead to is anyone’s guess, but this isn’t the first time these heroes have locked lips. I would not be surprised if these two strong willed individuals kept things to a “friends with benefits” situation. They certainly have a strong chemistry together. This issue also debuted the return of Storm’s mohawk as a symbol of her independence from her recently annulled marriage to Black Panther (see the image below from the same issue as drawn by David Lopez and Alvard Lopez).

Heroic Tarot: The Complete X-Men Tarot Series
Greetings, dear reader! Welcome to my Heroic Tarot process featuring my award-winning X-Men cards!
The X-Men playing card deck is adorned with images of Marvel’s Merry Mutants. I have created a system combining traditional Minor Arcana meaning with my vast knowledge of X-Men comic book stories. The archetypal roles the X-Men represent bring the energy of the missing Major Arcana to the overall calculation. I reveal the superheroic tales relevant to your path. This dual reading is amplified by the elemental nature of whatever suit is pulled in addition to the numeralogical/feudal court energy contained therein.
I invite you to take a look at all of the cards featured and compare my comic-based interpretations with how they relate to traditional tarot definitions. Here they are in order:

Heroic Tarot Tuesday: Toad and Arcade
Greetings, dear reader! This post is the fourteenth in a series revealing my Heroic Tarot process featuring my award-winning X-Men cards. Today we take a look at cards featuring Toad and Arcade!

This dual reading is amplified by the elemental nature of whatever suit is pulled in addition to the numeralogical/feudal court energy contained therein.
One of the interesting aspects of the X-Men cards is that every character gets to be represented four times. However, there are two different characters on the two Joker cards! Each card features antagonists from X-Men mythology: Toad and Arcade. Due to their “bad guy” status, we will be looking at each character as a Shadow Guide.
A Shadow Guide is a spirit teacher that activates our fears in order for us to transcend them. They represent a lesson that we need to learn in order to let go of negativity. A Shadow Guide encourages us to return to the heroic path by activating change in our thoughts and actions.
It is important to note that the Joker in a deck of playing cards is not descended from the the Fool as many Tarot practitioners (including myself) have thought. The Joker was created by a New York poker club as a ‘wild card’ to add zest to the game. That said, it does correspond to the same energetic qualities as the Fool, bearing in mind the figure of the court jester.
Note: I will be referring to each card by their traditional tarot names, although I will provide the equivalent playing card terms under each image.

He’s raved about for a reason, which is adding his quirky signature to this distinct style of readings.
There’s a lot of great people and places on their list, so be sure to check it out! Thank you from the bottom of my heart, San Francisco fashionistas! There is a great future ahead for all of us! Read Heroic Tarot In Bold Italic!
It is with great happiness and humility that I get to share some awesome news with you, dear reader! The above image was taken from a new article about Heroic Tarot in The Bold Italic! I was was excellently interviewed by Tony DuShane and brilliantly caricaturized by Heather Tompkins. I am so in love with how Tompkins chose to have me give my goddess Ororo Munroe a reading! It simply uncanny! Click here to see for yourself!
Storm Sunday: Michael Golden
We conclude our recent Michael Golden appreciation with a look at Golden’s interpretation of the X-Men’s Storm! Above, an inked sketch by the master himself. Love the pose, the facial structure and the lighting on her costume. Golden designs Ororo’s tiara much larger than it is usually depicted, but the proportions are great overall. And like Dave Cockrum (Storm’s creator), Golden gives Storm a massive mane of hair!

Heroic Tarot Tuesday: Bishop
Greetings, dear reader! This post is the tenth in a series revealing my Heroic Tarot process featuring my award-winning X-Men cards. Today we take a look at all of the cards featuring Bishop!

If you would like an X-Men Tarot reading, I will be in San Francisco all of October! My schedule is here, so let me know which date/time works for you! I also give readings over the phone and via email! Contact me for more information at stormantic(at)gmail(dot)com!
One of the interesting aspects of the X-Men cards that I use is that every character gets to be represented four times. For example, Bishop is all of the Tens. The number Ten represents mastery, completion and tradition. The cycle has come to an end and we can choose to relearn those lessons or evolve to the Court cards. Either way, the wheel has turned and we can no longer cling to the old ways.
Note: I will be referring to each card by their traditional tarot names, although I will provide the equivalent playing card terms under each image.

Omnific October Opportunities!
Omnific? Oh yes, indeed! This beneficent word relates to creation, specifically unlimited forms of creations. We all have the power within us to manifest change for the better in our lives. Just like the King of Rods/Wands above, we are all visionaries, working on empowering ourselves to approach any situation with mastery and courage.
I created Heroic Tarot in order to bring insight, reflection, and guidance through divination. As a synchronicity attractor, it is my mission to help you find strength in your convictions and bring your dreams into reality. I am returning to San Francisco for the month of October and will be once again giving readings at Swankety Swank! My schedule is listed below. Contact me at stormantic(at)gmail(dot)com or 415-260-2903 to make an appointment. This Halloween season is one of my favorite times of year and I love giving readings at parties and events! Consider me for your special occasion! I am currently using the traditional Aquarian Tarot as well as my award-winning X-Men Tarot deck but I am versed in other decks as well! If you are unable to come in for an in person reading, please know that phone and email readings are also available! Check out my reviews!
