I’ve begun a new spiritual practice this year inspired by Abraham-Hicks. The practice consists of four aspects: meditation, talking with nature, writing, and speaking to a higher power. The meditation takes fifteen minutes, the speaking with nature involves getting outside and appreciating the wonders of Mother Earth, the writing consists of five pages of positive aspects in one’s life (much like a gratitude journal), and speaking to a higher power is like writing a letter to whatever you consider Divine. This letter can be considered a prayer or a mantra and it sounds like this:
I acknowledge that I am the object of your positive attention and I appreciate being in your continual gaze on behalf of my well being. And today no matter where I am or where I am going or what I am doing or who I am doing it with, I will be in conscious awareness that you are there with me, appreciating me, supporting me, assisting me, uplifting me, inspiring me, guiding me, having fun with me and loving me.
I have worked with this practice for only four days and have found immediate benefits. I am more grounded throughout the day and more at peace with myself and the world around me. I have been turning to myself for the support and inspiration I need. I have begun to see the things that are working in my life and building upon them. The process has been much more playful than I’ve allowed myself in the past and I’m definitely going to continue the process to see where this new alignment takes me!
